Subject: Number one
Subject: Number one
..out of my collection of 2200+ historical novels.
I read it again and again as a young fellow of 16,17 when English was a "foreign language". Later in America, in my old age, I learned that this book was also the favorite of Eisenhower. Director John Ford (the man who created "John Wayne") always carried a copy with him.
Set in Medieval England/France - Edward III's reign
Recommended for your young sons. And daughters too.
